Orlando has fast become a destination for sportsmen and those seeking adventure.
Orlando offers 168 golf courses, each presenting an incredible challenge to even the most seasoned golfer. But should you need a refresher course, world-class golf instruction schools await you. If that’s not enough, take advantage of the area’s best tennis and sports and recreation complexes that provide training and fun. Try horseback-riding along scenic trails, canoeing past manatees and alligators, gliding over the tip of the Everglades on an airboat or taking a sea excursion off one of the east or west coast beaches. Sports enthusiasts can cheer on the National Basketball Association’s Orlando Magic, catch American football at an Orlando Predators arena football game or sit at one of the many Atlanta Braves spring training baseball games. Alternatively you can choose the adventurous pursuits of auto racing, hot-air ballooning, scuba diving, waterskiing, cruising on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, flying a glider or vintage aircraft, or even indoor skydiving. Who say's Orlando only has theme parks! |

Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach where you can still drive your car along sections of the broad, hard-packed beach. You will be following in the tire tracks of early race car drivers who set land speed records on this beach at the turn of the 20th century. These early thrill seekers earned the area the distinction of being the birthplace of speed, a claim to fame it still holds as the birthplace of NASCAR. Of course it's still a great place to get a tan. |
